THE RED STAIRCASE -OF THE INFAMOUS-

It would more simply be La Scala Rossa (but also Villa Keiko , the real name), a sort of Red Carpet of the urbex world . And I must admit that I don’t understand the concept of infami , there must be some hidden feud; but the sound attracted me, it was melodious and then I have always defined it that way, it was right to keep the title.

This villa tends to redefine the concept of wonder, at least as far as urban exploration is concerned: you enter from the basement passing through what was once supposed to be a lush garden but is now covered in dry leaves . The photographic story is reversed compared to the entrance. In the basement there is a leisure area, with table tennis, table football, cellar and bar/tavern area. Then you go up the stairs, you arrive at the entrance and you can’t help but be amazed by the dining room, the lounge and above all by the entrance dominated by a wonderful wooden staircase covered with the famous red carpet .

Clearly it’s not over because there are still two floors and the music doesn’t change; on the subject of music, on the mezzanine floor there is a piano now destroyed by pieces of the ceiling that are falling onto the floor. On the second and third floors there are the rooms, the study, the bedrooms (I lost count) and I sincerely hope I have managed to describe the beauty through images, because with words it is too difficult, impossible for me. Everything in this villa is conceived in luxury and elegance , nothing is really missing: and this increases the feeling of sadness and melancholy . There are no explanations, there are no understandable reasons. Only the many dolls remain, waiting, in the hope that one day we can return to listening to laughter and life within these walls.
